Plumbed Urinal reflects Schweder's earliest interest in architecture and design through which relations are mediated and his homage to a modernist lineage of aberrant and formed objects such as Marcel Duchamp's 1914 Urinal. A foll0w-up to his Bi-Bardon, 2002 (a twinned or "Siamese" urinal) Plumbed Urinal straddles the typical "water wall" of the middle to mix bodily fluids from men and women, men and men, women and women, alluding to relations through the mixing of bodily fluids which generally remain hidden.
